Quick start: your first feedback in 10 minutes

Go from a new account to real reader answers: one survey, one website, one snippet.

Step 1:Create your account

Sign up with your email or with Google. On your first sign-in Asklet creates an organisation for you on the Free plan, with a first workspace inside it. You don't need a card.

If someone has already invited you, you'll see their invitation instead. Accept it to join their organisation.

Step 2:Create a survey and activate it

Go to Surveys and click New survey. Start from the Article feedback template: it asks a one-tap Yes / No first, which is what readers answer most.

Save it, then click Activate. Only active surveys can be shown by the widget.

Step 3:Add your website

Go to Websites, click New website and enter its name and root domain, for example example.com.

If your site is served from www.example.com or another subdomain, list it under Additional subdomains. Pick the survey you just made as the Default survey.

Step 4:Paste the snippet into your site

Open the website and click Copy website snippet. Paste it once into the template your articles share, where the widget should appear (usually after the article body).

One snippet covers the whole site. It finds out which page the reader is on and shows the right survey.

Step 5:Check it on your site

Open one of your articles. You should see the widget with your survey's first question. Answer it to see the whole flow.

Answers on pages that you haven't added in the Pages tab count straight away. To try a page without counting your answers, add it as a page first: new pages start in test mode.

Step 6:Read the results

The Dashboard shows responses and the "found it useful" score across all your websites. Open a website to see its results per page, with readers' comments.
