How to use the survey question generator
- 01
Choose the page
The questions are worded for where people answer them: an article, a help page, a product screen, a landing page or your whole site.
- 02
Choose what you want to learn
Every goal starts with a question people can answer in one tap.
- 03
Copy the questions
Choose one, two or three questions, try other wordings, and copy them as plain text.
How the questions are built
Every survey here follows the same order:
- First, a one-tap question: yes / no, a 1-5 rating or the 0-10 NPS scale
- In a three-question survey, a choice or a rating that adds detail
- Last, an optional free-text question for people who want to say more
None of the questions ask for names, emails or other details that could identify someone, so they work in an anonymous survey.
How many questions should you ask?
For feedback on a page, one or two. People came to read or to get something done, so every extra question costs you answers. Use three when the middle question tells you something you'll act on.
Common questions
What makes a good feedback survey question?
It is short, asks about one thing and is quick to answer. Start with a yes / no or a rating, avoid leading wording such as "How much did you enjoy this article?", and keep free text for the end.
Should survey questions be open or closed?
Use both. Closed questions (yes / no, ratings and choices) are quick to answer and easy to count. One optional open question at the end tells you why people answered the way they did.
Can I use these questions in any survey tool?
Yes. They are plain text with a suggested answer type, so they work in a form builder, a survey platform or an on-page widget.
Are the generated questions anonymous?
Yes. None of them ask for personal details. To check your own questions, use the anonymous survey checker.
Do you store my choices?
No. The generator runs in your browser and nothing is sent to us.
