Asklet vs email surveys
Email surveys ask about an experience after it is over. In-page questions ask while it is still happening.
Sending a survey link by email is the default way to collect feedback, and it works for broad, relationship-level questions: how likely a customer is to recommend you, or how the last quarter went. For anything tied to a specific page or feature, the delay and the extra steps cost you most of your answers.
An email survey reaches people after they have left. They have to open the email, remember what the question is about and load a form, so the people who answer tend to be the most engaged customers or the most annoyed ones. A reader who never gave you an email address is never asked at all.
An in-page question asks while the page is still on screen. Say you publish a setup guide: a one-tap "Did this solve your problem?" at the end is answered by people who have just tried the steps, and each answer is stored with that guide's path. Nobody needs to give an email address or remember which page they were on.

Common questions
Can I use Asklet and email surveys together?
Yes. Use in-page questions for feedback on single pages and features, and keep email for relationship surveys such as a quarterly NPS.
Why do email surveys get so few responses?
Each step loses people: the email has to be opened, the link clicked and the form loaded, often days after the experience. By then many people no longer remember the details, so they skip it. A question on the page removes those steps.
Do in-page surveys need an email address or a login?
Not with Asklet. Readers answer anonymously, with no sign-in, no email address and no cookies. Each answer is stored with the page path and a timestamp.
When should I still send an email survey?
When the question is about the whole relationship, when you need to reach customers who no longer visit, or when you want to follow up with the person who answered. All three need a known recipient.
Can I run NPS on the page instead of by email?
Yes. Asklet has a Net Promoter Score template, and it shows the score, promoters and detractors for each page.
