Versions keep results honest

A published survey is read-only. To change the questions you create a new version, and answers stay with the version they were given against.

Free text, without the personal data

Emails and phone numbers typed into free-text answers are replaced with [removed] before they are saved.

Common questions

How many questions can a survey have?

Up to 3 on Free, 6 on Starter and 10 on Pro. Short surveys get more answers, so most teams use one to three.

Can I edit a survey that is already live?

Yes. Create a new version from the live one, change it, and publish. Earlier answers stay attached to the version they were given against, so results aren't mixed.

Which question should come first?

A one-tap question, such as Yes / No. It gets the most answers, and on article feedback it drives the "found it useful" figure.
