Change a survey that is already live
Versions let you edit questions without mixing up past results. Here is how to publish, deactivate or replace a survey.
Step 1:Create a new version
Once a survey has been activated, its live version is read-only, so answers always match the questions that were asked. Open the survey and click New version from v1 (or whichever version is live).
Step 2:Edit the draft
Add, remove or reorder questions in the draft. Your websites keep showing the live version while you work, so nothing changes for readers yet.
Step 3:Publish it
Click Publish version. The new version goes live everywhere the survey is used. Answers already given stay with the version they were given against. Changed your mind? Discard draft removes it and leaves the live version as it was.
Step 4:Stop using a survey
Click Deactivate. If the survey is still shown on websites or pages, pick another active survey to show there instead; both happen in one step.
Delete removes a survey for good, but only when nothing uses it. Answers it has already collected are kept.
