What the widget collects from your readers

No cookies, no tracking, no fingerprinting. Here is exactly what is stored when a reader answers.

3 min read

What is stored

The reader's answers, the page path they answered on and the time. Nothing that identifies them: no name, no email, no IP address, no device details.

No cookies or tracking

The widget sets no cookies and uses no tracking identifiers or fingerprinting, so it doesn't need a consent banner. It doesn't follow readers between pages or sites.

The one thing kept in the browser

After a reader finishes, the widget notes in their browser that this survey was answered on this page, so it doesn't ask again on a reload. The note holds no identifier and expires after 3 hours.

Free text is cleaned

Email addresses and phone numbers that readers type into free-text answers are removed before they are stored.

Spam protection without tracking

To stop floods of fake answers, we count recent answers per network for a short time, under a code that changes every hour. The address itself is never stored or linked to an answer.
