How to add Asklet to Squarespace
Add Asklet below every Squarespace blog post with code injection, or to one page with a Code block.
Steps
- 01
Copy your snippet
In Asklet, open your website and click Copy website snippet at the top.
- 02
Try it on one page
Edit a page or post, add a Code block where the survey should appear and paste the snippet. Save and publish.
- 03
Add it to every blog post
Open the blog page's settings (the gear icon next to it in the Pages panel), go to Advanced and paste the snippet into Post Blog Item Code Injection. On Squarespace 7.1 it appears below each post.
- 04
Check it on your live site
Open a published post on a domain you listed in Asklet and answer the survey. To keep your own test answers out of the results, add the page in Asklet first: new pages start in test mode.
<iframe src="https://asklet.io/embed/s/<your-site>" title="Article feedback" width="100%" height="480" loading="lazy" referrerpolicy="unsafe-url" style="border:0"></iframe>- Keep referrerpolicy="unsafe-url" on the iframe - Asklet uses it to know which page the reader is on, so the right survey appears.
- Code injection is available on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and some legacy plans.
- On Squarespace 7.0, where injected code appears depends on the template.
- Remove any Code block you used for testing once code injection is set up, or that post shows the widget twice.
Common questions
Which path pattern covers my blog posts?
Posts live under the blog page's URL slug, such as /blog/my-post, so a pattern like /blog/* covers every post on that blog.
Why don't I see the survey while editing?
The widget only appears on the domains you listed in Asklet, and the Squarespace editor shows your site on another domain. Check the published page on your own domain.
