How to add Asklet to beehiiv

Add Asklet to the web version of your beehiiv posts with an HTML Snippet block.

Steps

  1. 01

    Copy your snippet

    In Asklet, open your website and click Copy website snippet at the top.

  2. 02

    Add an HTML Snippet block

    In the post editor, type / and choose HTML Snippet, then paste the snippet where the survey should appear - usually at the end of the post.

  3. 03

    Check it on the web

    Publish the post and open it on your publication's website, on a domain you listed in Asklet. The survey appears on the web page, not in the email.

  • Keep referrerpolicy="unsafe-url" on the iframe - Asklet uses it to know which page the reader is on, so the right survey appears.
  • HTML Snippet is a premium beehiiv feature, so it may require a paid beehiiv plan.
  • beehiiv post addresses start with /p/, so a pattern such as /p/* covers every post.

Common questions

Will email subscribers see the survey?

No. Email clients don't run iframes, so beehiiv leaves the HTML Snippet out of the email. Readers see the survey when they open the post on your website.

Which domain do I add?

The domain your beehiiv publication's website runs on - your custom domain if you use one. The widget only appears on the domains you listed in Asklet.
