How to add Asklet to Mintlify
Add Asklet to Mintlify docs pages with one reusable MDX snippet.
Steps
- 01
Copy your snippet
In Asklet, open your website and click Copy website snippet at the top.
- 02
Create a snippet
Add snippets/feedback.mdx with the iframe (example below). Mintlify pages are MDX, so attributes use JSX names such as referrerPolicy.
- 03
Import it on your pages
At the top of a page, add import Feedback from "/snippets/feedback.mdx", then put <Feedback /> where the survey should appear, usually at the end.
- 04
Check it on your live site
Deploy to a domain you listed in Asklet and open a page. Then click through to another one and check that its own survey loads too.
<iframe src="https://asklet.io/embed/s/<your-site>" title="Article feedback" width="100%" height="480" loading="lazy" referrerpolicy="unsafe-url" style="border:0"></iframe>- Keep referrerpolicy="unsafe-url" on the iframe - Asklet uses it to know which page the reader is on, so the right survey appears.
- Mintlify can show its own thumbs rating on pages. If you keep both, readers see two questions, so consider turning one off.
- Change questions in Asklet, not in the snippet: path patterns such as /api-reference/** pick a different survey for each part of your docs.
The snippet
Use the src from your own snippet.
{/* snippets/feedback.mdx */}
<iframe
src="https://asklet.io/embed/s/<your-site>"
title="Article feedback"
width="100%"
height="480"
loading="lazy"
referrerPolicy="unsafe-url"
style={{ border: 0 }}
/> Common questions
Do I have to import the snippet on every page?
Yes. Mintlify only adds a snippet where you import it. Add it to the pages you want feedback on, such as guides and tutorials, and leave it off changelogs or landing pages.
