A kk Star Ratings alternative that asks readers why
kk Star Ratings adds star ratings to WordPress posts. Asklet asks readers short questions and shows the answers per page, with no cookies or IP addresses.
kk Star Ratings has been on WordPress.org since 2011. It adds a star rating to posts, pages and custom post types, with settings for where the stars show, which categories skip them, whether guests can vote, and structured data for rating rich results.
A star rating gives each post a number. Asklet lets you ask what you want to know: was this useful, what was missing, what should we cover next. It stores no IP address or cookie to do it.

Common questions
What is a good kk Star Ratings alternative?
If a score isn't enough, Asklet asks readers short questions on each page, from yes/no to free text, and groups the answers by path. If you want another rating plugin, Rate My Post adds star ratings with a private comment box after a low rating.
Can Asklet ask for a star rating?
Yes. Star rating (1-5) is one of seven question types. The results stay private in your dashboard, though: Asklet shows no average on the post and adds no rating structured data.
Can kk Star Ratings collect written feedback?
Its WordPress.org listing describes star ratings, not written comments. To hear why readers rated a post the way they did, add a free-text question with a tool such as Asklet.
Is there a free alternative to kk Star Ratings?
Yes. Asklet has a Free plan for one website, with 2 active surveys of up to 3 questions each and 100 responses a month. Paid plans raise those limits.
How do I switch from kk Star Ratings to Asklet?
Create a survey, add your website and list the domains it runs on, then paste the Asklet snippet into your Single Posts template. You can run both while you compare.
