How to add Asklet to Jekyll
Show Asklet after every Jekyll post with one include in your post layout.
Steps
- 01
Copy your snippet
In Asklet, open your website and click Copy website snippet at the top.
- 02
Create an include
Save the snippet as _includes/feedback.html.
- 03
Add it to the post layout
In _layouts/post.html, add {% include feedback.html %} after {{ content }}. If your theme comes as a gem, such as Minima, copy its post.html into your own _layouts folder first.
- 04
Check it on your live site
Open a published post on a domain you listed in Asklet and answer the survey. To keep your own test answers out of the results, add the page in Asklet first: new pages start in test mode.
<iframe src="https://asklet.io/embed/s/<your-site>" title="Article feedback" width="100%" height="480" loading="lazy" referrerpolicy="unsafe-url" style="border:0"></iframe>- Keep referrerpolicy="unsafe-url" on the iframe - Asklet uses it to know which page the reader is on, so the right survey appears.
- Jekyll's default post addresses include the date, such as /2026/10/12/my-post.html, so the website's default survey is the simplest way to cover every post. A pattern such as /2026/** covers one year.
Common questions
Does it work on GitHub Pages?
Yes. It is a plain include with no plugin, so GitHub Pages builds it like any other part of your site.
